Permission and Plan Requirements
To use this feature, you must have the Workspace:Settings:View permission and the EVENTS, TICKETING plan.
Route Settings define the default time intervals, distance constraints, and capacity calculation modes used by the route planning wizard when organizing multi-stop tours or events.
Key Features & Configuration
1. Route Configuration
Parameters governing the creation of a physical route.
- Default Buffer Minutes (defaultBufferMinutes): The default extra time added between two points on a route to account for traffic or minor delays.
- Default Break Minutes (defaultBreakMinutes): The default static rest or break period assigned between sessions or stops.
- Max Distance (maxDistanceBetweenEventsKm): The maximum allowed physical distance (in kilometers) between two consecutive points on a single route.
2. Waypoints and Capacity
- Waypoint Support (allowWaypoints): Allows adding non-event stops to a route, such as a lunch break, meeting point, or transfer hub.
- Capacity Calculation Mode (capacityMode): Determines how the overall capacity of a route is calculated for OTA (Online Travel Agency) and ticket control.
- OTA (Events Min): The route capacity is limited by the smallest capacity of any individual event on that route.
- Route Only: The overall route capacity overrides individual event capacities.
- Route + Events: Considers both the overarching route capacity and individual event capacities.
[!TIP] Route Planning Operations: The defaults determined here are automatically loaded when the route wizard is launched. For operational flexibility, these can still be overridden instantly during the specific route creation process.
Common Issues
- Issue: The system prevents adding the next location to the tour route.
- Solution: Check the Max Distance setting. The location you are trying to add may be further away than the allowed limit from the previous stop.
