Permission Requirements
To configure Brand Relation settings, you must have the Workspace:Settings:Manage permission.
The Brand Relation settings allow you to define the operational constraints, default behaviors, and limitations for brand entities interacting within your workspace ecosystem.
Key Features & Configuration
1. General Constraints
- Maximum Active Brands: Define the upper limit of brands that can be simultaneously active under a single merchant or organization.
- Verification Requirement: Toggle whether newly registered brands require manual admin verification before their products can be listed.
2. Form & Component Settings
You can customize which fields are visible or mandatory when an administrator or merchant is creating a new brand profile.
- Logo & Cover Image: Enforce the uploading of high-resolution branding assets.
- Brand Story / Description: Make the descriptive text field mandatory to ensure all brands have a complete profile.
3. Restriction Settings
- Product Listing Limits: Restrict the maximum number of distinct products a brand can list across the marketplace.
- Category Exclusivity: Optionally limit a brand to publish products only within specific predefined categories.
[!TIP] Ensure that any changes made to form field requirements (like making a logo mandatory) are communicated to your merchants, as this might block them from creating new brands if they lack the required assets.
Common Issues
- Issue: A merchant is unable to create a new brand.
- Solution: Check the "Maximum Active Brands" restriction. If the merchant has reached the limit defined here, they will be blocked from creating additional brands unless the limit is increased.
