Permission Requirements
To configure User Relation settings, you must have the Workspace:Settings:Manage permission.
The User Relation module defines the boundaries, onboarding logic, and profile requirements for the end-users (customers/shoppers) in your workspace ecosystem.
Key Features & Configuration
1. Authentication & Security
- Email Verification: Mandate that all new users verify their email addresses before making a purchase or interacting with the platform.
- Password Policies: Set the complexity requirements for end-user passwords (e.g., minimum length, numeric characters).
2. Profile Components
Customize the signup and profile management forms for your end-users.
- Date of Birth: Toggle whether age verification/Date of Birth is collected (useful for age-restricted products).
- Marketing Consent: Make the newsletter subscription checkbox visible or hidden by default during registration.
3. Account Restrictions
- Device Limits: Restrict the maximum number of active sessions or devices a single user account can have simultaneously.
- Order Limits: Implement velocity checks (e.g., max 5 orders per hour) to prevent fraud or abuse by newly created accounts.
[!TIP] Balancing user experience with data collection is key. Only make fields "Required" if they are absolutely necessary for your operational flow to avoid high drop-off rates during user registration.
Common Issues
- Issue: High rate of spam accounts being created.
- Solution: Navigate to the "Authentication & Security" section here and toggle "Email Verification" to mandatory. You can also implement tighter "Order Limits" to mitigate potential abuse.
