Menu Path: Contents > Blog

The Blog module is designed for publishing articles, guides, industry insights, and updates. A consistently updated blog is one of the most effective methods for inbound marketing, customer engagement, and improving your site's SEO (Search Engine Optimization).

Overview Dashboard

When you navigate to Contents > Blog, you are presented with an overview list of all your articles. Here you can see at a glance the author, publication date, category, and current status of each post. You can also perform bulk actions like deleting or changing the status of multiple articles simultaneously.

Creating a Blog Post

To write a new article:

  1. Click the "Add New" button from the Blog list view.
  2. The article creation screen is divided into comprehensive sections:

1. Basic Info

  • Title: The headline of your blog post. This needs to be catchy and relevant.
  • Status: Set the article as Draft while writing it. Change to Published when it's ready to go live. You can also mark outdated posts as Hidden.
  • Category: Assign the post to a relevant category. Categories are managed centrally (see Common Categories). A post can be placed in multiple nested categories (e.g., Technology > Software).
  • Slug: The URL string (e.g., how-to-use-cms). It is auto-generated from the Title, but you can override it for SEO purposes.
  • Abstract: A short teaser text. This is often displayed on the blog homepage card before the user clicks to read the full article.

2. Media

  • Featured Image: The main cover image for the blog post. This is critical as it will be used as the social media share image (OpenGraph) and the header image for the article.
  • Gallery: If your article requires a carousel or a collection of supplementary images at the bottom, upload them here.

3. Content (Rich Text)

  • The main drafting area. Use the rich text editor to write your comprehensive guide. You can insert inline images directly into the flow of the text, format quotes, create tables, and structure your article with proper H2/H3 headings for optimal readability.

4. SEO

  • Optimize your article specifically for search engines by filling out the shared SEO fields (Title, Description). See the Common SEO guide for best practices.
  1. Once your article is complete, review the settings and click "Save" to apply your changes.

Comments and Interaction

If enabled on your frontend, users can leave comments on blog posts. These comments flow into the Contents > Blog > Comments section, where you can read, approve, reject, or reply to user feedback using the shared Comments interface.
