Transactions
Menu Path: Finance & Logistics > Transactions
The Transactions module acts as the internal financial ledger of your platform. While Payments record money moving between the customer's bank and your payment gateway, Transactions record how that money is split internally within your platform.
This is especially critical for Marketplace models, where a single payment might generate multiple internal transactions (e.g., Merchant A's earning, Merchant B's earning, and the Platform's commission).
Understanding Transactions
- Go to Finance & Logistics > Transactions.
- Click on a Transaction ID to view the details.
1. Transaction Types
- EARNING: Money credited to a Merchant's account for a successful sale.
- COMMISSION: Money deducted from a sale and credited to the Platform as revenue.
- PAYOUT: Money transferred from the Merchant's digital wallet to their actual bank account.
- REFUND / CHARGEBACK: Money deducted due to a returned item or disputed charge.
- PENALTY: Administrative fines deducted from a Merchant's balance.
2. Transaction Statuses & Payout Dates
- PENDING: The transaction is logged, but the money is not yet available to the merchant. Example: An order is shipped but not yet delivered. The funds are held in escrow.
- Estimated Payout Date: If pending, a yellow banner will show the estimated date the funds will be cleared (e.g., "Estimated Transfer: 15 Oct 2026").
- COMPLETED: The money has been cleared and officially added to the Merchant's withdrawable Wallet balance.
- CANCELLED: The transaction was voided (e.g., the order was cancelled before fulfillment).
3. Financial Breakdown
- Amount: The exact value of the transaction.
- Merchant: Which merchant this transaction belongs to.
- Description: An auto-generated explanation (e.g., "Earnings for Order #12345").
Note: All transactions are immutable. To correct a mistake, a new counter-transaction (like a refund) must be issued rather than editing the original record.
