Wallet
Menu Path: Finance & Logistics > Wallet (Or Finance > Wallet for Merchants)
The Wallet module is where Merchants manage their earnings and where the Platform Admin oversees financial liabilities. It aggregates all data from the Transactions module to provide a real-time snapshot of accounts.
Merchant Wallet Dashboard
When a Merchant accesses their Wallet, they see:
1. Balance Overview
- Withdrawable Balance (Available): Money from COMPLETED transactions that the merchant can immediately transfer to their bank account.
- Pending Balance: Money from PENDING transactions (e.g., items still in transit to the customer). This money cannot be withdrawn yet to protect the platform against refunds.
- Total Lifetime Earnings: The gross amount the merchant has made historically.
2. Requesting a Payout (Withdrawal)
- Merchants click the "Request Payout" button.
- They enter the amount they wish to withdraw (up to their maximum Withdrawable Balance).
- They select their registered IBAN/Bank Account.
- The request is submitted to the Admin for approval.
3. Admin View (Managing Payouts)
As a Platform Administrator, you use the Wallet module to:
- Review incoming Payout Requests from merchants.
- Download the bank transfer list (often an Excel/CSV file formatted for your corporate bank).
- Mark requests as "Transferred" once you have physically wired the money. This action deducts the requested amount from the Merchant's withdrawable balance and creates a PAYOUT transaction record.
4. Adding Funds (Credits)
In some B2B models, merchants might need to load credits into their Wallet to pay for platform services (like advertising or premium listings). If enabled, merchants can top-up their balance via Credit Card directly from this module.
